Title: Flower Power

Designer: Jan Dew

Garment Description

"Flower Power" has been designed by Jan Dew from Mangoplah in NSW. The majority of the garment is constructed out of PVC canvas with some fly screen backing. The top and hood are made of little pvc flowers, as she was inspired by all the different colors that come in the pvc color range. The skirt is constructed from PVC panels with fly screen to stiffen it. The handpiece is a headlight rim covered with PVC flowers.

Designer's Background

Jan Dew loves the challenge of competing so she is back for her fifth year at Elmore and still on the family farm busy cooking, sewing, gardening and enjoying dining out with her friends.

Best Overall Exhibit

The Elmore Field Days Life Governors Award, sponsored by Elmore/Lockington & Districts Community Bank is made to the best overall exhibit taking into account the quality of the stand and overall participation in the theme and spirit of the Field Days.

The award is judged according to the following guidelines (20 points for each category):
a. Overall planning & aesthetic appeal
b. Demonstration and action content
c. Presentation of equipment on display
d. Dress and ease of recognition of staff on the site (uniform etc)
e. Safety, eg tent pegs and only authorised vehicles on site.
