Elmore Events Centre a Venue for Business
10 January 2010
The Elmore Events Centre is home to the annual Elmore Field Days in October each year together with a growing range of agricultural and other functions and events.
Conveniently situated in north central Victoria this unique venue will soon be an even more valuable facility when the major new development and building plan is completed later in the year to complement the existing facilities on the 154 ha site.
Elmore Events Centre spokesperson Sam Shotton says the organising Committee is very pleased at the range of functions and organisations that are being attracted to use the facilities.
“In addition to the Field Days and the Equestrian Park which is being progressively developed as a training and competition focus for the horse interests of north central Victoria, the Centre has a growing range of bookings.
“Some key events we have coming up include the Elmore Summer Send Off B&S Ball which this year will be held on Saturday 6 March which is always strongly supported and enables us to put significant funds back into community projects.
“The Centre will also host the Seventh Day Adventist Victorian Conference over the Easter Break and we have the National Caravan Rally booked for later in the year.
“The ROADEC driver training facility which is another specific site feature is also helping our young drivers to advance their skills.”
But Shotton says the major project that is currently at an advanced design stage is the new multi-purpose pavilion which is part of the $1.3m development project, 50% funded by the Victorian Government’s Regional Infrastructure Development Fund.
“Our new Pavilion will have internal dimensions of 88 metres by 66 metres as a clear span building with a total floor area of just over 5,000 square metres and will support the existing smaller pavilions on site.
“We consider the new building whose purpose is to support other agriculture related purposes in addition to use each year for the Elmore Field Days will be ideally suited for new product releases, trade shows, mini-exhibitions, even livestock sales.
“We welcome enquiries from any interested business and parties about the use of our comprehensive resources and we feel that with the extensive range of buildings, reticulated services and public infrastructure that our Elmore Events Centre is a major regional asset.”
